Rock Island-Milan School District 41 (RIMSD41) is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). This national recognition highlights the district’s commitment to the highest standards of financial transparency and accountability.

“We’re proud to be recognized by ASBO for excellence in financial reporting. This honor reflects the integrity of our processes and the dedicated work of our team to ensure our finances are clear, accurate, and aligned to supporting scholar success,” said Annaka Whiting, RIMSD41 Chief Financial Officer.

The district earned the award for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. Through a rigorous review process conducted by experienced financial professionals, the COE program recognizes school districts that go above and beyond in producing clear, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports that strengthen community trust and support long-term financial stability.

“Our Board of Education has high expectations for financial transparency and reporting. This recognition is a reflection of the importance placed on ensuring that our school community is fully apprised of our district’s financial standing and the procedures in place to ensure the highest level of fiscal responsibility,” said Dr. Sharon Williams, Superintendent of Schools.

This recognition reflects Rock Island-Milan’s ongoing dedication to fiscal responsibility and its commitment to serving scholars, families, and the community with integrity and excellence.
