Andy Campbell

Principal, Eugene Field Elementary School, Rock Island, IL

Andy Campbell is in his 31st year with the Rock Island-Milan School District. He began his career teaching Science and Physical Education at Washington Junior High School, then transitioned to Rock Island High School in 2008, where he taught Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, and Physiology. In the fall of 2024, he took on a new role as Principal of Eugene Field Elementary School.

Mr. Campbell is passionate about fostering strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the broader community. He believes that effective communication, mutual respect, and a sense of shared purpose are essential to a thriving educational environment. His guiding motto—“Be Nice, Work Hard, Do Things Right”—is proudly displayed throughout Eugene Field and serves as a daily reminder of the school’s core values.

He lives in Rock Island with his wife, their three children, three cats, and a dog. In his free time, Mr. Campbell enjoys reading, exercising, and spending quality time with his family.
