Welcome to Eugene Field Elementary School! Eugene Field is part of Rock Island-Milan School District 41.
Eugene Field is home to approximately 400 students, grades K-6. Eugene Field offers a wide variety of academic programs for our students ranging from extra support to enrichment opportunities, designed to maximize each student’s individual potential.
Eugene Field is a proud Leader in Me Lighthouse School. The Leader in Me is based on Stephen Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Successful People, but tailored to meet the needs of elementary schools. All of us at Eugene Field, adults and children alike, work to internalize and demonstrate the Seven Habits and we use them as the basis for all of our relationships both inside and outside of our school. Through The Leader in Me, we work to help our students identify what they are passionate about, what their goals are, and we help them develop plans to meet those goals. All students at Eugene Field have leadership roles and leadership responsibilities.
Learn, Enrich and Discover (LEAD) is a unique innovative educational program. LEAD allows our students to have experiential educational opportunities throughout the school year. Opportunities include the fine arts, STEM, cooking, a variety of fitness activities and college and career tours. The Leader in Me teaches our students leadership skills and LEAD allows our students the opportunity to use those skills within our community.
Rock Island-Milan School District 41’s purpose is “To educate for individual student success”. Our focus on meeting the needs of each child academically and through The Leader in Me helps us bring that purpose to life. Our priorities at Eugene Field and in District 41 are to 1) Increase student achievement 2) Build respectful relationships and 3) Improve operations. All of our focus is centered on these three priorities.
